Service Disruptions and Shipment Guarantee due to COVID-19
Covid-19 restrictions that vary from state to state, driver shortages and employee shortages at terminals have a ripple effect in the transportation sector. Many of the preexisting challenges affecting transportation have only been exacerbated by Covid-19.
Any price and/or costs quoted and performance commitments (Example: “Must Arrive by date”) are subject to change or possible delay due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) or other public health emergency.
Please note that most LTL Carriers have suspended their guarantee refund policy. While they still offer the additional cost option to have your shipment expedited, they have suspended the money back or refund aspect, partial or whole. Therefore, if they are late… either pick up or delivery, we must pay the freight bill in full.
SLC Nationwide shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of any obligations if such failure or delay is due to the coronavirus, a public health emergency or other cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to restrictions imposed by governments, local authorities, relevant companies or other
entities, infection or quarantine of personnel or subcontractors’ or agents’ personnel, any restrictions affecting transport or logistics, driver’s hours, driver illness, etc.
SLC Nationwide promises to keep you informed and give notice and specify the obligations, which is or will be delayed, altered or prevented, as the information comes available.
